Background Check
Chroma wasn't always named as such...and was birthed within the lands of the Steppe. While his accent leans in between folk within Gridania and Limsa; he still has his moments where Xaelan words tend to slip."We Xaela are told that we're proud nomadic warriors of the Azim Steppe, followers of our own traditions; and the children of Dusk Mother Nhaama. We're told that trust is both valued within our tribes, but also a great risk if chosen to use outside of it. The bullish acts I did when I was a child...did not made me realize how lucky I was that I had such forgiving parentage. The tides only got more complicated in the end the more I fought them.

In short, you may just call me Quail for the time being!
This is my first thing I made with carrd! (And has undergo many revisions) Got into this thanks to a good friend of mine.
While I do play FFXIV, I'm still fairly new in terms of the lore and tongue. (Please forgive me that some info on this character's site is a bit wonky, it will be edited from time to time!)
In FFXIV I am a: Panic button, goof, and a bit of a meme.
The hobbies that I do to pass time are drawing, writing, and chilling with friends!
Within RP settings I'm alright with mature themes; with the exception of ERPs hence it's unfamiliar territory. I refrain from RPing with minors due to moral code. (must be 21+). Last but not least, I try to ensure that both parties are comfortable with what they're doing.
Like everyone, my Log timing schedule can be a bit wonky; Going by Server Time: Weekdays and weekend are 6:00pm - 10:00pm Note: it is subject to change weekly, feel free to ask me questions via Tell or Discord if possible! (Also, please keep in mind; If I don't come back to you asap, it's either; I'm currently busy and afk, or offline/at work---I do not ignore folks on purpose!)

(And what I mean by relationships, I use the term loosely; be it used as friendly, or familial---romantic relations are a different story, and I would mark what kind of relationship it is and where it stands depending on how the character feels.) It's just the way he talks.D) Romanceable; but be warned, the man is dense and a bit shite for brains when it comes to this sort of territory. (More info on this can be learned via RP)Here are the possible hook rundowns:
Gold Saucer: The man loves a good minuscule gambling of MGP as well as to sharpen his jumping skills. (Most people like to call him the GS Hobo due to specific reasons.) Event Square, Round Square, and Leap of Faith are his lounge zones; and perhaps sometimes the 2nd floor nearby the fountain leading to the Chocobo Square. Either talk to him about chocobos; or talk to him near the LoF Goal point, might just catch his attention!
Quicksands: This location is a wild-card. (What happens in Quicksands, STAYS in Quicksands) He mainly hangs out there if there is nothing better to do, or if his friends are there. Most times conversation is picked up by throwing in some drinks. Another would be him being drunk over his head; but that's rarely.
Limsa Lominsa: He works within the ranks of Maelstrom. Whether it's keeping the peace between quarreling folks with...uncanny approaches, or helping with directions. Sometimes he could be hired for mercenary work underhanded; however, only if it's within best interest--Coin or no.
Tailfeather: He himself despises outlawish chocobo hunters. It is very much possible to find him skulking about in his chocobo-like adornments; misleading those who hunt the birds out of Tailfeather protocol with his mimicry cries. Most folk describe this persona of his as the "Golden Vigil" or "One with Arms".
Azim Steppes: Chroma is Steppeborne. It's not identifiable within first glance due to amount of Auri individuals that have been traveling their way to Aldenard recently. He has, but a slither of the Xaelan dialect sliding from here to there. He doesn't quite talk about the ghosts of the past...But perhaps you're one of the few that recognizes his face. Chroma also has a sum of knowledge with ancient Xaela tongue that may also turn heads of those that are familiar with.
Botany: A little something he's learned and picked up within his 33rd summer. Considerably a small activity to help soothe the man from the gritty parts of his life.
Makeshift-Chocobo Cafe: Located within Ul'Dah's Goblet "The Sultana's Breath" this is his apartment dormitory and one of his 'getaways'. A fairly small and humble cafe, surrounded and garnished in a Chocobo theme interior; it is currently only open to friends as of this time. In closing/closed hours, he is known to drink himself asleep- How manages to pull off either, is beyond brows.
General: There is a slight chance in seeing him in any pub. Whether buying him drinks, talking about monster hunts, or mercenary work. (Or if you have any idea you would like to pitch in, do not hesitate to DM me via Tell in-game, or through Discord if possible!)
